New Items on Etsy

So I've already started selling my art prints on etsy.com, but I have also wanted to start selling vintage items that I either have in my house or find at yard sales, thrift shops and flea markets. Here are some of the items that I just listed, found these at the Wellfleet Flea Market on Cape Cod.

I also have plans to sell, upcycled items, more prints and hand drawn sharpie mugs and plates. I hope to have those items for sale by the end of the summer.

Labels for a Toddler's Dresser

I'm always looking for ways to give my toddler a way to feel more independent. It helps her have less temper tantrums. I get Family Fun magazine and saw this fun way for toddlers to know where to put away and get their clothes from the correct drawers.

Result:

You can find these printables here at FamilyFun Magazine. My daughter was very excited to put these on her dresser, she loves helping with the laundry.

Cinderella Costume with Coach

So in our town on 4th of July they hold a Horribles Parade. This is a children's parade, they dress up in either Original, Historical or Current Events costumes an walk or ride in a short parade. There are judges and all the kids get a goodie bag at the end of the parade.

This year my daughter was Cinderella in her enchanted coach. My grandmother made her a Cinderella dress from a Disney pattern. I created the coach. I used her wagon, made the sides and wheels out of cardboard, the frame from tent poles and covered the tent poles with old sheers that I had. I also added a stuffed horse in the front for dramatic affect.

It was so hot that day that she was not really in the smiling/waving mood.

DIY Outdoor Curtains from Drop Clothes

I was looking for a way to give my patio in my backyard a little more shade, we do not have much shade in our yard so it can get really hot out there. I searched pinterest and found these outdoor curtains made from drop cloths.

Quick Side Table/Cabinet Redo

I've had this cabinet ever since they we moved into this house. My aunt used it as a record holder, does anyone still remember records, we use it as a place to store our dvds. It has been on my list of items to redo for awhile.

Before:

I decided that it would be easiest and fastest to use spray paint. There was hardly any finish left on this piece so I decided that I did not need to sand or strip the wood. Here is the end result.

After:

This was a pretty inexpensive, had the cabinet $0, had the knobs $0 and the spray paint which was Krylon Cherry Red cost about $8 for two cans. Total = $8.
