Kid Art Craft: Hidden Pictures

I love spending time with my three year old creating arts and crafts projects. In my own art career I have played around with different types of resists, with glazes, etc... I saw that some people on Pinterest were experimenting with white crayons and watercolors. I thought this would be a perfect activity to try with my daughter.

Materials:

• Watercolors - Crayola Washable Watercolors, 16 count (53-0555) $3.99
• Paint Brushes - Melissa & Doug Large Paint Brush Set $5.97
• White Paper
• Plastic Cup
• Water
• White Crayon

At first I drew something with the white crayon and let my daughter use the watercolors to discover the picture. This was fun because she was really excited seeing the picture revealed. After she did this for a while she wanted to draw and paint herself. This activity occupied her attention for a good hour, this is a really long time for a three year old.
